I called today and got an immediate appointment. Melvin was wonderful! He explained what he was doing and his expert experience was very apparent as he diagnosed and fixed the problem. Barton Boys are lucky to have this fine young man on their team. He loves his job!

This place is wild and I'm pretty sure they bought a lot of their good reviews. They either have the worst technicians on earth or they are trying to scam people. My furnace was new to my house when I moved in three years ago. I recently called them (they installed our furnace) because my heat was shutting off randomly. The guy was really nice when he came and said he needed to order a part. The part was supposed to come in in 10-15 business days. Two months later after calling regularly it finally came in. I called them and we set up the appointment. When the guys came to my appointment, they fixed the earlier problem but then said that there was a lot of C02 in the area of the furnace. They said that the heat exchanger was cracked and that even though our furnace was only 3.5 years old it was only under partial warranty. The new heat exchanger would be free but labor would be about 2,000$. We were very sad but said okay because we don't want to die of c02 poisoning. Then they called us and said the new heat exchanger would take 124 days to come in. They said our other option was to get a whole new furnace because it's not safe to run the furnace when it's leaking c02. We obviously need a heater in the winter in Spokane. We decided to call a competitor for a second opinion. The competitor came and told us that our heat exchanger was fine but that the connection between the old venting and the new venting from the furnace was faulty due to how it was installed (by the Barton Boys), and that exhaust was coming back into the house from there (the source of the c02). The competitor said we should call the Barton Boys and try to get them to fix the venting connection since they broke it but honestly I wouldn't feel safe having them touch our furnace again. TLDR: the Barton Boys messed up our venting when they installed the furnace, took 2 months to order a new part that we're now not sure if we needed, and then tried to get us to buy a whole new furnace when our old furnace was broken by them. Go to a competitor in the future.

From start to finish our heater install has been exceptional starting from salesman Greg, the office staff, to the installers. They were understanding and accommodated our specific needs without gouging to high hello like Bill's and a few other big-name companies tried to do!! We will be back and we will tell others since it went so well. Thanks folks

TLDR: The Barton Boys are inaccurate in diagnostics and pushy in sales. I am out several hundred dollars on service calls that I am now not sure ever fixed the issue. They tried to sell me a new furnace to replace my 4 year old furnace, tried to tell me there is a tear/crack in my 4 year old heat exchanger, and then tried to push me to make an expensive snap decision. The "second opinion" the pushy sales guy recommended I get told me quite the opposite of the above, with a solution to the actual problem that is much less needless or needlessly expensive. I am disappointed in my experience working with the Barton Boys. My heater was turning off randomly and so I called the line on the side of the furnace. Their techs were friendly enough and appeared to assess the issue. One thing the tech noted was that there was an issue with the vent leading away from the furnace, giving off what appeared to be fumes. I thought it was just a minor issue at that one seal and he fixed it. Of course, Barton Boys does not have the part in stock and needs to order it from the factory, fair enough. The estimated timeline of the part's shipment and delivery was around 2 weeks initially, yet it took two months for the part to arrive. Again, that might be more on Bryant's end but it seems strange to not have any of the part. After coming to install the part, apparently the techs were now getting readings of exhaust leakage. They went back to the office to get an analyzer, and sure enough, the analyzer read some concerning numbers. They showed me photos alleged to be a "tear" or "crack" in my almost 4-year young heat exchanger. Now I am told my options are to get this part, which IS under warranty, and pay for labor to install, or, buy a new furnace. My furnace is not old. Then, I was called by who I take to be their sales "closer" at the office. He was somewhat pushy, now telling me that there is no guarantee the warranty will be upheld, but that I would essentially be on the hook if we go this route, whether the warranty is upheld. He could not even give me an estimated guess as to how this could go beyond it boiling down to "it might not happen." The cost of this part plus labor was estimated to be just $400 less than their new furnace estimate. And of course if I get the new furnace, that day's expenses would be applied. I was even told to get a second opinion. I did. There is no crack in my heat exchanger. There are scratches, but it appears fine. There would be no reason to entirely replace my nearly 4 year old furnace. The issue: as the Barton tech noticed, the real issue appears to be happening in the exhaust vent. The only part that the second opinion seemed to agree on would be the time it takes to order a part from Bryant. Barton Boys, like other businesses I have experienced, tried to sell me on something I did not need after months of waiting for a part that, now I need to follow up to confirm that it was in fact even installed, and am unsure if it was ever at issue. I am out several hundred dollars with them from their service visits so far that, now, is unclear whether the problem was correctly assessed initially.

We have been having trouble with our church furnace shutting off and as you can imagine the timing could not have been worse between holiday services, weddings and other events. Melvin and Michael came out promptly and helped us work through a very perplexing situation. They were professional, polite, and knowledgeable, everything you want and need in these circumstances. We are so glad Barton Boys has been and will continue to be our go to heating specialists. Tony A.

They have taken care of my heating air conditioning system for several years. Always answer my questions. Recently I had a problem replacing a kitchen faucet. They came out within a few hours and not only replaced the faucet but took time to check the sink drain and disposal connection. Great company to work with.

They came to our assisted living facility today to fix our heater. The young kid they sent over didn’t know what he was doing so he had to call a supervisor. Only after telling us that he is running out of time for our service call and need to get to the next. Once supervisor comes to the facility he puts it in emergency heat and completely disconnects our AC so the heat can be on. Then left the facility without telling anyone he was “finished and the heater is in working condition” so now I have heat but no AC. And to make the matter worse he left a mess everywhere. I called the company and the receptionist agreed that is not the way they do things and I should be getting a call. The call came from the same supervisor who “fixed” the unit, and he call me cussing me out mad that I called to complain about his lack of service. They refuse to come out and fix their mess they created and the only people who will suffer is my residents and they do not care

If I could give no stars I would. Don't waste your money. Paid $179.00 for a service tech to come out and he did nothing. Didn't even open the HVAC panel. 2nd tech told me what the first one didn't do. I called and tried to talk to the service manager Cory, he was no help. Basically, called me a liar.
